Last year we proudly reflected on two unforgettable decades of conservation and community on Amakhala Game Reserve.

Woodbury Lodge and Tented Camp are Owned by Richard and Giles Gush, two of the founding family members of Amakhala Game Reserve. 

They reminisce about the beginnings of Amakhala and how Woodbury has developed from their wife's cooking at the Lodge, wagon's before the tents, to the Woodbury we know and love today.

Amakhala and Woodbury are one of the few reserves left in South Africa still privately owned by the original owners, who love their country and love what they do.
